Born in 1954, he graduated from the English Major of Science and Technology of Tsinghua University in 1977 and has been working in the High School attached to Tsinghua University since then. He has been engaged in English teaching for more than 30 years. In 1989, he received a bachelor of Law from the Philosophy Department of Peking University。He is currently in charge of International Education Center of Tsinghua High School。

Since 1985, he has been a part-time teaching and research member of Haidian District for a long time。From 1990 to 2009, he served as the leader of the English Group of Tsinghua High School。During my tenure as the leader of teaching and research, I strongly advocated "the experiment for middle school students to pass a foreign language in high school".。Research and improvement of extracurricular activities in middle school English, science experimental class teaching reform experiment, training of young teachers, "one-stop" teaching reform experiment, classroom teaching mode, and teaching and research group construction have done a lot of exploration。In 2001, he was awarded as a special grade teacher in Beijing. Since 2005, he has been the leader of the English tutor group of Famous Teachers Workstation in Haidian District。

In 2002, he was appointed as an academic member of the Education Expert Committee of China Association for Science and Technology。In 2005, he served as a member of the Academic Committee of Beijing Education Society。In October 2005, he served as a member of the Academic Committee of the Foreign Language Education Research Center of the National Basic Education Experimental Center。In November 2007, he was hired as a part-time master's advisor of Capital Normal University, and in March 2008, he was hired as a part-time supervisor of Basic Education Development Institute of Capital Normal University。From September 2009 to September 2014, he served as Assistant to the President of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University and Vice President of the International Department of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University。In 2013, he was elected as the vice chairman of the Creative Education Research Association of Beijing Education Society。
